Shanghai Expo—China Pavilion:located to the east of the Expo Axis in Zone
B in Pudong, and covers an area of 6.52 hectares. The China pavilion is divided
into two parts, namely, National pavilion and Regional pavilion. National pavilion
has a forceful sculpt like ample barn while Regional pavilion has a platform for
visitors gathering which implied the meaning of luck and rich in this divine land.
The contour design of the pavilion is based on the concept of "Oriental Crown, Splendid
China, Ample Barn, and Rich People," to express the spirit and disposition of Chinese
culture.

The City God Temple of Shanghai:it is not only a scenic spot for visiting
but also a good place for shopping as well as Yuyuan. A set of historic building
with the imitation of Ming and Qing dynasty architectural style appears when you
walking in Yuyuan Shopping center, the building has overhanging eaves and rake angle
and also carved beams and painted rafters which shows its intense ethnic charms.
The facade of the building follows the style of gardens in Ming and Qing dynasty
in South China while inside, it is a modern shopping center, the facade and inside
united and has become a tourist shopping center in Shanghai jointly with shopping,
tourist, snacks and entertainment.

The Oriental Pearl TV and radio Tower:located in LuJiaZui, Putong New Area,
No.1, ShiJi Road, and just opposite to International buildings on the bund. The
towel has a height of 468m, highest in Asia, the third highest in the world. It

Huangpu River:The bank of PuJiang River gathers the best part of cityscape
of Shanghai, you can visit the large picture consist of Yangpu Bridge, Nanpu Bridge

characteristics on the bund and modern buildings on the east bank of Pudong.

Yuyuan:Located in the north of Shanghai, to the south of Fuyou Road and west
of Anren Street, near The City God Temple of Shanghai in Southwest, Yuyuan is a
famous historic garden and famous place of interest and tourist attraction in the
world. It is also the best preserved garden in Ming dynasty. It is also famous for
the hall of Spring which was the headquarters of the small sword society uprising
in 1853.

Confucian temple:Located in the South Street, JiaDing Town, JiaDing District,
Shanghai, Confucian temple was built from 1219, during the Southern Song Dynasty,
and covers an area of 17 acres. In front of the entrance door named LingXing door,
there're three memorial archways of "Xingxian""Yucai""Yanggao" and iron lions railing.
Seventy two different iron lions symbolize seventy two students of Confucius.

Shopping at Nanjing Road:Known as the first commercial street in China. Starts
from Xizang Middle Road to the West and to Henan Middle Road in the East, almost
600 stores are on this street. Famous four companies, namely Shanghai No.1 Department
Store (ex:"Daxin company"), Hulian Department store (ex:"Yong'an company"), Shanghai
fashion company (ex:"Xianshi company") and No.1 provisions shop reflect the past
and today of Nanjing Road.
Feel the international atmosphere at Bund (Waitan) located on the west bank
of Huangpu River in Shanghai, starts from Baidu Bridge in the North and to the cross
of XinKaiHe Road, 2nd Zhongshan East Road, and covers 1700m. The West of Bund is
the architectural complex which shows the feature of Wall Street and is called as
Display of International Buildings.
Scenic spots on the bund:
Bund Urban Sculpture complex: located in the green gallery of bund on Jinlin East
Road, composed by three stainless steel sculpture named "the Light of PuJiang River"
"Sail" and "Wind".
Chenyi Square: The Square is located in the end of Nanjing Road:The statue of Chenyi
who was the first mayor of Shanghai in New China is proudly erected on this square.
The Bund Sightseeing Tunnel:
It is located between the bund on Nanjing East Road in Puxi District and the Oriental
Pearl TV and radio Towel in Pudong District. The tunnel is the first pedestrian
tunnel undercrosses the river in China and has a length of 646.70m which was completed
in the end of 2000.

Shopping at HuaiHai RoadA business street from Shanxi Road to Xizang Road
which covers 2.2km and as famous as Nanjing Road on tourist and shopping; it is

Avenue in New York, Ginza in Tokyo and Orchard Road in Singapore. There're around
400 shops on this street.
